Wash past Highway 77 – 3/4
Sometimes a water source is a spring tucked into a deep corner of rock or a stream that appears out of the dirt like magic. Sometimes it’s a windmill spinning in the air or a rusted old trough half-filled with dirt. Sometimes it’s a pool of rain trapped in a stone bowl or the last puddles of a dying stream. Sometimes it’s a cache of gallon jugs stuffed in a metal box or a stock tank filled with algae.
And sometimes it’s the water fountain behind Central Arizona College’s Aravaipa Campus Building B.
And you’re grateful for each of them.
Water. The great equalizer.
When they finally teach the cows to read and write, we’re done for.
