Why I’m Still Paddling

Florida Sunset

Hi Everyone,

People often ask why I turned around and decided to paddle back to the Northwest Angle after reaching Key West so I wrote an essay for Outside about the decision. If you’d like a little deeper look into my mindset and a few minor spoilers about what’s coming up in the next few weeks of my way behind journal (Spoiler Alert: I’m still alive!), here it is: http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/water-activities/Gone-and-Back-Again.html

Please comment, share, and send it to anyone who might be interested. It centers around a message that I think is one of the most important lessons I’ve learned on this trip. Dream big and go.

Thank you for all the support along the way! This trip would be impossible without it.

  1. I started following your journey last summer when you paddled accross Big Sandy Lake after the Savanna Portage. I look forward to reading your Blog every morning, you are an inspiration that words can not describe! I know you will make the journey before Old Man winter moves in.
